Moody Fall Wedding // The Grove // Erica + Jordon

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it many times again but we are so incredibly blessed to be able to design wedding flowers for a living. We feel even more blessed when we get to design for special couples who we’ve known for many years. One of the most fun things about my job is that sometimes I get to rekindle old friendships through work. Never in a million years while playing tennis with Jordon in high school did I think that one day I would be designing the flowers for his wedding one day! I literally jumped for joy when I got the email from his sweet fiancé, Erica.

I wasn’t surprise at all to hear that Jordon had found his dream girl, but he hit the jackpot! Erica is beautiful and the most fun ever! You can totally see her fun personality all over these wedding photos. After meeting for our initial consultation I was excited to start designing their dreamy fall wedding. Erica wanted moody jewel tones and lots of greenery to complement the already beautiful Grove venue in Aubrey. Sister knows how to speak my language, I hear greenery and I swoon! Plus, we’re total suckers for a bride with some flowers in her hair.

The wedding day forecast called for rain but we didn’t let that ruin our nature vibes, we brought the outdoors in with a lush arch and greenery hanging from the ceiling. Luckily, the rain cleared out and Moth + Moonlite were able to capture some gorgeous portraits of the wedding party and the newlyweds on the beautiful property of The Grove. I had the hardest time narrowing down the photos of this sweet couple, their happiness is so contagious. As always it’s so special when we get to work with our vendor besties, and seeing Wendy Zerrudo of WZ Beauty studio glam up these babes made our day!
