Romantic Lakeside Wedding // Filter Building // Whitney + Scott
It’s Wedding Wednesday and these cozy rainy days are making me feel all he autumn warm fuzzies. Bring on the burgundies, crackling fires and cloudy days- we are ready! But you know which day wasn’t rainy? This gorgeous lakeside wedding I’m about to show ya’ll from this spring. It’s such a treat when an outdoor wedding goes as planned and this outdoor wedding is an absolute dream!
Do you recognize someone from this bridal party? It’s me!! Whitney is one of my very best friends and when it came time to start wedding planning I was over joyed that she wanted us to design the flowers for her and Scott. It was such an honor to stand by my bestie on her wedding day while being surrounded by the flowers we designed. We don’t often get to step out from behind the scenes so when we do it feels very special!
Whitney + Scott chose to have their wedding at the Filter Building at White Rock Lake. They fell in love with the beautiful views of the lake and the rustic yet industrial style of the building. This venue checked all the boxes to create this unique spring wedding. Again, did you see those views?
Whitney’s wedding vision was filled with bold beautiful colors! We created a lush bouquet full of peonies, dahlias, anemones and blue thistle. She loved burgundy dahlias so we paired them with gorgeous coral charm peonies to give them a perfect combination of spring and summer romance. For centerpieces we did loose greens mixed with succulents, candles and terrariums. Simple yet gorgeous!
Now can we please talk about the adorable flower girls and ring bearer?! Have you ever seen such cuties-heheh! Whitney and Scott didn’t have any young kids in their families so Whitney’s cousins stepped in and took their roles very seriously. Have you ever seen a 40 year old ring bearer? I think it could be a new trend, nice way of guaranteeing those rings make it down the aisle.
As always we loved working with our couple’s amazing vendors. Meaghan with Sweet Pea Events, Stephanie Rose Photo, And Jenna Thomas Beauty. We hope you enjoy this beautiful spring lakeside wedding!
