National Dog Day // Dogs and Diamonds // Styled Shoot
Happy National Dog Day! Today is a day I can really get behind because I love my sweet Scooter pup and basically every other dog I meet. We honestly didn’t even know that National Dog Day was a thing when we planned this photo sesh but as soon as I heard I knew I wanted to share this with yall! We teamed up with the ever talented Kristen Dee, the shiny and luxurious Shapiro Diamonds, the always glam BA Beauty and A + Be threw in an unbelievable gown. Together we came up with such a fun shoot with all of our favorite things.
Dogs aren’t only a man’s best friend, what’s wrong with being besties with pups AND diamonds? We are all huge dog lovers and wanted an excuse to play around with two of our favorites things- adorable dogs and gorgeous bling! We put our model in a stunning A + Be bridal gown to really play up the femininity. In order to showcase Shapiro Diamond’s unique variety of designs we wrangled a bunch of different pups-big, small, silly and sleepy.
Our photographer, Kristen Dee, did such an incredible job of capturing all the fun we were having on set. We wanted these images to make people feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Being consistent with her style, she captured these rings and pups with a fine art approach while shooting both digitally and on film.
To really pay tribute to the gems, our gorgeous model and the beautiful space, we kept this shoot light, airy and fun. For floral we created some gorgeous and spring inspired floral crowns with pink ranunculus, spray roses, chamomile, babies breath and greenery for our bride and made mini floral collars to adorn the pups. How cute are those floral collars, definitely a must when you include your best friend in a photoshoot!
The really fun thing about this photo shoot was the surprise it was for our sweet model, Katie Tull. She had no idea that her boyfriend reached out to us after the shoot to find out which ring was her favorite! She now rocks a custom made ring of her dreams and is marrying her sweet man next month! Fun fact-that sweet man happens to be my brother in law, which means one month til Katie is my sister!! Cheers to engagements and a whole lot of puppy love!
