Elegant Downtown Garden Wedding // The Carlisle Room // Ellen + Peter

Happy Wedding Wednesday! All our fall wedding photos are starting to come in and yall are in for a treat! This past wedding season was one of our busiest yet, but we are so proud of the weddings we worked on and obsessed with all the couples we helped get hitched! Today’s wedding brings us downtown to the Carlisle Room and a super classy affair.

We were introduced to Ellen and Peter by the lovely ladies of MK Event Boutique. Just because this world is sometimes so small, it also turned out that Peter worked with my husband, Andrew! I fell in love with Ellen immediately, she’s the kind of bride you want to work with over and over again. She was so trusting, fun and so clearly excited about marrying Peter.

The Carlisle Room provides such a timeless, classic and sophisticated setting for a wedding. We have so much fun designing there and love playing off the art deco vibes. Did ya’ll know it was built in 1932 and originally served as a bill paying lobby? That’s what those giant pillars were for, writing checks. These days we just dress them up in greenery and place our drinks on them. Who doesn’t love a venue with some good history.

Ellen and Peter are like us and love some greenery! So we had a lot of fun bringing that garden romance feel inside to such a historic downtown place. We kept our floral white with roses, hydrangea, spray roses and then we love the pop of texture those anenomes provide in the bouquets.

This wedding was super special to me because my hubby and I got to also attend as guests! We had a blast catching up with all his work buddies and then dancing the night away to the same band that played at our wedding! I’m telling ya, Ellen and Peter have great taste ;).
