Romantic and Timeless wedding // Ridglea Country Club // Katey + Paul

Hi friends! Hope this week is treating you right! I’ve got a teething 1 year old over here, so needless to say we’re a little tired. Today I am throwing it back to one of my favorite weddings for one of my favorite gals (you may already know her from your Instagram feed).

Back in 2013 Katey reached out to me for a floral crown to use in a photo shoot she was working on. Katey is a well known fashion, design and lifestyle blogger – shout out Chronicles of Frivolity and I was so excited to make something for her to shoot. We became fast friends and decided we needed to host a blogger/floral crown workshop with our friends at Rio Ritz Boutique. We totally need to host another one of those, but more on that later!

Katey is a perfect southern belle- sweet as can be, put together, and a super fashionable and fun friend. That’s exactly why her blog is such a success, readers feel they can connect with her and her style is picture perfect. I can text her at any moment to ask style advice and she passes no judgement when I’m feeling like a clueless, fashion-less dork.

Ok, enough gushing over Katey and now onto her totally gush-worthy wedding! We had so much fun working together on the floral crown workshop, that I was over the moon when she called me a year later to reserve her wedding date. Out of all the amazing florists in DFW, we were honored she wanted to work with us again! She and her fiancé, Paul, wanted a short engagement so we needed to start planning her dream wedding stat!

Katey and Paul had visions of a timeless, romantic wedding filled with tall floral centerpieces and long floral garlands. That floral table runner stands the test of time! Speaking of garland, we loved designing the garland that framed the doorway at the church, the perfect backdrop to photograph that show stopping Miss Hayley Paige gown. Still can’t get over that amazing photo of Katey and her b-maids fluffing the gown!
