Navy, White and Blush Summer Wedding // Ashton Gardens // Kristen + Mike

It’s time to revisit last July and swoon over this gorgeous navy and white southern wedding perfection. Meet Kristen and Mike, Kristen is a sweet friend of mine from high school who had been dreaming of her wedding day since she met her Prince Charming, Mike.  Mike is such a southern gentleman from Kentucky and they really are the perfect pair.

You know how we know Mike is Prince Charming, listen to this proposal- Mike surprised Kristen with a birthday trip to Paris and popped the question in the beautiful Garden de Tuileries across from Le Leuvre. How dreamy is that? Is this real life?

After their Parisian celebration vacay, Kristen returned home inspired and ready to plan her dream wedding.  Her inspiration for her colors was the gorgeous photo from the proposal seen below.  So we got busy right away with designing the most beautiful white, blush, taupe, navy wedding with a lot of southern charm and the obvious Parisian details (how could we not pay homage to the scene of the proposal?).

I love when a bride incorporates something heartfelt and personal to her bridal bouquet, Kristen’s grandfather had passed away so she hung a photo of the two of them from her bouquet. Sweet details like these really personalize the wedding and create such a unique way to include loved ones we’ve lost.

Kristen wanted lush white and blush bouquets, romantic candle lit centerpieces and a show stopping staircase, so we gave her just that. We love the space and those amazing chandeliers, the elegance of Ashton Gardens created an ideal backdrop for our vision. It’s always special to create beautiful flowers for our brides but even more special when they are childhood friends.
