First Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas // Friday Favorite
This week we were all working away in the studio and got to talking about some of our summer brides from last year! Do ya’ll remember Alicia + Rob and Melissa + Justin from last year? We realized they are celebrating their first wedding anniversaries this month, which got us to discussing anniversary gifts. It’s fun to come up with something clever to go along with the traditional anniversary gifts by year (paper for first, cotton for second, etc.). So for this week’s Favorite Friday we thought we could share some of our favorite first wedding anniversary gift ideas!! Without further ado, some of our favorite paper gifts!

First up, Alli K! Have y’all ever noticed our Inspire mural up at the Bevy? The always talented Alli painted that beauty and it has served as a great backdrop to many a photo shoot! We love the idea of giving prints or books as an anniversary gift. Alli has some awesome black and white prints on her website as well as a super cool book called “How to Draw Modern Flowers”. So you can give your love an actual book as well as the gift of a new hobby! We would even go out on a limb and bet your man would love one of these prints, florals don’t have to be girly! That Dallas print would look great in a man cave!
We also love Jennifer Seibert’s gorgeous floral paintings! Did you know you can commission her to paint whatever you want? Your wedding florals? First home? Beloved pet dog! These pieces are gorgeous and would make such a beautiful anniversary gift. Does your Sig O love a good tutorial? Ok, loving this-Modern Map Art! I’m obsessed with their Custom Star Maps! We had a custom poster made of the sky above mine and Andrew’s wedding site the evening of our big day. It has quickly become one of my all time favorite pieces hanging on our wall. What a beautiful reminder of our wedding day, a day that can be so busy with family, friends, dancing and champagne we sometimes forget to look up in the sky and take a moment! Not to mention being able to share this special piece with our sweet Hunter! Now I can take a moment everyday. Also, it’s printed ON PAPER therefore super awesome first anniversary idea.
